Where did we come from?  Why are we here?  Where are we going?

All Scripture is From the New King James Version of the Bible printable version

Something that really baffles me is this: how people can live day after day, month after month, year after year, and spend little, if any, time seriously looking into and finding a satisfactory answer to the question "Why am I here and what will happen to me when I die?" For every person on this planet--no matter what their race, culture, color, shape, personality, occupation, financial status, intelligence, disposition, health, talents, abilities, importance-- every single person born will sooner or later DIE. This is a 100% guaranteed fact.

Have you ever gone to another country, somewhere you had never been before? If you have, you probably did alot of planning and preparing for the trip and the visit. You didn't just go. For one thing, you had to find out about how to get there, the costs involved, etc. And if you intended to stay there for an extended period, even more preparation would be necessary. You would want to find out about the climate and weather in order to know the proper clothes to take; you'd want to know about the culture and customs in order to avoid inappropriate or offensive behavior; you'd want to learn some of the language in order to communicate. If you intended to go to live in a foreign country, the wise and sensible thing to do would be to learn as much as you could about traveling to and living in that country.

Yet, regarding the ultimate, certain trip that each of us MUST take, and the place of our eternal residence, most people have only occassionally and briefly speculated. Most people live and die without settling this issue of death and eternity. They're too busy. They brush it off and say "Who can know?"

How tragic! And (to put it bluntly) how STUPID!

Yes, I don't understand how a person can spend countless hours of their life involved in tasks, events and activities of little and no importance, while not bothering to come to an informed decision concerning the most important matter (nothing else even comes close) of all: death and eternity.

The fact is, one CAN know where we came from, why we're here, and where we're going--not based on speculation or opinion. Our Creator has given us the answers to these questions, and many others, and they are found exclusively in His Book, which we call the Bible, and NOWHERE ELSE! Remember: anything that contradicts the Bible is false.

Apparently, you are wise enough to be looking for answers. The Bible makes it clear that God blesses those who diligently and sincerely seek Him--so I challenge you: go ahead and prove it! Look at what He has said:
...he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. (Hebrews 11:6)
(Jesus speaking): Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. (Matthew 7:7)
The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks Him. (Lamentations 3:25)
...seek the Lord your God, and you will find Him if you seek Him with all your heart and all your soul. (Deuteronomy 4:29)
...for the Lord searches all hearts and understands all the intent of the thoughts. If you seek Him, He will be found by you... (1 Chronicles 28:9)
Seek the Lord while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near. (Isaiah 55:6)
For You, Lord, have not forsaken those who seek You. (Psalm 9:10)
And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. (Jeremiah 29:13)
On the following pages, I present the Truth, as found in the Bible, that answers the questions Where did we come from? Why are we here? Where are we going?
